The ultimate purpose of the TFB is for the recipient to think to themselves the following:

“I think I can trust this individual not to embarrass me when I interview and or hire him/her,” as opposed to the question written a different way, “can I trust this applicant not to embarrass me when I hire him/her?”  That simple change in the above thought is the difference between being interviewed and possibly being hired and or being rejected out of hand. It is indeed, the difference between an immediate positive reaction or thought and a negative thought concerning your possible candidacy.

The TFB itself reorients the tense from past and or present to future.
 
The TFB’s main purpose is to demonstrate there is still “fire in the belly” of the applicant. All the TFB’s transits all our clients from merely presenting a list of tasks, titles and responsibilities to an accomplished professional. As we have implied the use of the TFB’s portends the “future.”
