All businesses are alike!
Except for the skill, dedication, talent and vision of the CEO/President/Owner all businesses are alike.
The commonalities of ALL businesses are:
They all:
Sell stuff (product, distribute or service, tangible or intangible)
Buy stuff (processed material, buildings, raw materials, processes, etc)
Employ people or surrogates...contract services or use web equivalent (employees, 1099, consultants etc)
Handle stuff....(make/create/process/deliver/develop a product or service)
Money (use, make or provide or the equivilent....charge/loan options)
Taxes (pay) (Federal/Local/State)
Space (use) (office, sales, warehousing, web & or production facilities)
Business Currencies
All Businesses also spend the same five currencies:
a. time
b. money
c. power/position/status
d. space
e. people (employees, etc)
In transition there are only 2 currencies that are not replaceable, time & reputation, at this writing, I am not sure which is most important or the most precious.
In your preparation for that next job, you must find some way to prove your ROI.
