Questions that can NOT be Asked

In fact, once asked I would seriously consider leaving the interview. At best, I would not even discuss the following! If you have to tell the interviewer that the question is not permissible, it is OK.

An interviewer "must not" ask questions concerning:

  1. Age
  2. Date of birth
  3. How long resided at current residence
  4. What church?
  5. Father's surname
  6. Maiden name
  7. Marital status
  8. Who resides with candidate
  9. Children questions
  10. Transportation
  11. Owns/rents
  12. Armed services/domestic/foreign
  13. Financial
  14. Clubs
  15. Foreign languages, unless integral to job
  16. Religion
  17. National Origin
  18. Health & physical condition
