Alternatives

 

 

This plan can be used in this market to as an alternative to attention grab. They should be sent daily one at a time via mail, in .....format. Beginning with the Yarn, Performance & Rubric.

We suggest that if you are having difficulty getting thru to the HA, that you try this approach as well. This will get their attention, as it did when I was recruiting. It should insure that you will reach them, talk to them and schedule a phone screen. I found this pattern to be very effective for me as a recruiter, it put my candidates at the head of the line. I converted them from just paper to a person. My candidates had a built in reward system. Once I started coaching, I grouped the process into the our missives, but this alternative combines the best of all worlds. I have used this alternative process with the Candidatess that I administer. Duing that time I am for all intents and purposes a recruiter that the candidate has hired to be that candidate's advocate with HA's. I complete their first contact, and set up the intial phone screen.

Over a 4 day period they will recieve 4 documents about you and how you are a possible reward. You can also cycle the concept and send the Narrative first via mail, the second and third via email and the final by mail.  You can also send the first three one day apart via email, amd then send the hard copy via mail on the first-third day based on where they are in the country. Since you also have a PPT version of the hard copy as well, you can send that if the hiring manager is travelling.

The final is sent on the fourth day. Use the Information Study or Cafe Hard Copy, do not send the first one, as you have already sent the information that is covered in the other first three.

It is our way of providing a value added service to our client companies when we were is after all recruiting. It is a viable way to reduce the risk of hire for your target potential managers.

When sending this alternative use the same approach, no cover letter, only a yellow sticky for each. Text could read, in order, Thought you might be interested, talk to you this week, looking forward to our discussion, and finally When can we talk?

Candidate Narrative, written in the first person, may be sent either with the resume or while negotiating for the FTF.

2. Sales Report A comprehensive accounting of sales, earnings and clients.

3. An Accomplishment based resume and the Candidate Questionnaire®  sent at submission.

4. Candidate Profile sent immediately after a phone screen.

5. Descriptor® sent immediately after a FTF interview.

8. Candidate's Hard Copy's are used during the entire presentation process. These tools do illustrate the candidate's accomplishments, experiences, track record, evaluations, writings, and a RESUME in a unique format.



This allows you to separate out the Real Candidate from the Paper Candidate. It allows the hiring authority to "see" you as the accomplished professional, not the also ran. As a point of additional information, using this CIP program can shorten your transition time by three months. Therefore, each of the constituent parts of this program is really worth $5000 each, if you are earning $90,000 base per year. Is that worth the time? Remember: People hire people, not Paper.
