What to expect in offer?

This is a shortened version of this discussion, see PMSP for complete section. All offer letters should have the same basic ingredients, but you cannot allow emotion to get in the way of professionalism. Just as the company is "buying" a sale so too are you "buying" an opportunity.

The letter must include:

1. Definition of responsibilities

2. Start Date

3. Title

4. Geographic area or vertical to be worked

5. Person, department, or division to whom you will be reporting

6. Compensation, bonuses, etc

7. Benefits, 401k, medical and appropriate dates

It might also include:

Non-discrimination clause & secrecy clauses
