Candidate's Transition Inventory Interview
© & Review

                                                Opportunity vs just a Job!
                                                    Let us show you how.

The Coaching/CISA Candidate's Transition Inventory Interview is a 2 hour, in-depth, 72 question personal interview with a corresponding 6-7 page written
review that is sent 48 hours after the Candidate's Transition Inventory is administered.

The Transition Inventory is a five part process: The Inventory Interview, your home work section of the Inventory, our written Review, our subsequent Discussion of the Review and finally our recommendations for involvement in your Transition Program.

The Interviewer will write down everything you say. They will not editorialize or add to your comments. There are no right or wrong answers; it is your answer as of that "moment." The Inventory Interview part of the 5 part process will take between 2-4 hours. *****Some questions are worked on twice, once during the inventory and a second time that day as your homework. Those questions to be worked on later and then emailed that evening. The printed Review and our subsequent 60 minute discussion of the Review are completed @ no additional fee.

We always wait 24 hours before we begin the Review Process. Our hope is to have the Review to you via email in 48 hours from the administration of this inventory. As we said above, there are 72 numbered questions and 72 un-numbered follow-up questions. They have carefully been crafted and refined to reveal the "Real You."

This unique process allows our counselors to get to know
who you are, your goals and aspirations, and how best to help you "get THAT NEXT job!"  One of the major outcomes is that the inventory allows you to get to know you better. After all, you are the product that you will be marketing during transition.  The review will also allow you to better measure any hiring opportunity based on your goals and objectives. (See Below explanation indicated in red) The review alone takes 2-4 hours to write.

The information that is gleaned from the Inventory Interview is presented in a review format that includes:

Quick Summary
The Biggest Challenge
The Overlying Theme that drives your transition search
Your Overriding Transition Goals
A delineation of your Personal Characteristic and Values
Your Personal Management or Work Style
Personal Goals
Professional Goals
Family Needs
Talking Points about you

The Correct New Job
The Right Boss
The Right Company Culture
The Right Product or Service
The Right Position
The Right Client Base
Job Responsibilities
The Real Compensation Base

The last eight categories, those that appear above in red can be used by our candidates as a Personal Interview Checklist while assessing any new opportunity.

The information from our CTII Pre-Coaching Inventory allows our candidates to customize every interview to their own personal and professional objectives. The information is then used in conjunction with our Interview Feedback Form in our book or on this site. This specialized process arms our candidates with real evaluative instruments (Interview Checklists) to measure how closely any prospective company and hiring manager matches their personal & professional criteria. This secondary tool (Transition Inventory Checklist) that arises from the use of the Transition Inventory Interview and Review will enable any candidate to more correctly match their "credentials" to a possible hiring authority's style or to a possible employer thus allowing the candidate to make the correct choice and not a guesstimate when they "get THAT NEXT job."

Finally, we give you recommendations how to organize your own Transition Program or how Transition Compass can best help you.

"Today is your first Tomorrow!"

The task of finding that next job does not have to an inscrutible puzzle when you analyze the options first.
