Step 3: Day Three: Call and let the hiring authority know the info doc should be there today or tomorrow. Use Dial by Name on the company’s system to locate executive’s #.

Call early, 7:30AM-9:00 to get access to internal system. Dial by name directory.  See: Schedule: Cycling                         

Be sure to have a prepared text done for the VM.

The single most important aspect is the the VM feels comfortable to you. It must be easy to read and get your message across. Please listen to message & make sure it is short, but conveys the reason for your call. Practice on your an sering machine, several times until you feel comfortable. Use only your first name.

It might read as follows:

Hi, Albert/Alberta, this is Henry/Henrietta, I recently sent you a Confidential Information Document. Sorry I missed you!  I’m just following up to be sure that you have received it. I look forward to speaking with you soon. Yes, I know what I sent is somewhat "out-of-the box."
